Using precious metals such as platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd) as catalysts, SOF mainly reduces the content of particulate emissions so as to reduce PM emissions. At the same time can effectively reduce the exhaust HC, CO. Oxidation catalysts could remove 90 per cent of SOF, reducing PM emissions by 40 to 50 per cent. The processing efficiency of HC and CO can reach 88% and 68% respectively.
